Wednesday at Clinton

Postby Perry Biddle » Wed Feb 24, 2010 4:47 pm

Ken and I went and sailed at Clinton. There was plenty of wind , but the ice was a bit dodgy. I could have used a bigger sail, from my 3.7. Ken's 5.0 was working for him. I fell back hard , glad to have the motorcycle helmet on. No good wind for several more days, and the weather is warming up. They also turned the power plant back on , and there's a big open hole in the main pool. Still, it was better than not sailing at all. See you soon at the beach.

I checked out Montrose last Sunday, the launch is still covered in ice... Wolf's ice is getting iffy, and the wind is nowhere to be found... I'm beginning to get desperate :)

Let me know when Clinton's ice is gone, I may make the drive down there...

See you out there,

When ever your up for it clinton is open , the area by the corner and beach is all open water steaming like a bath tub on cold mornings . the power plant was shut down for a few weeks but is back on now.
